If you’re not familiar with Amazon’s range of “Prime Exclusive Phones,” the deal is this: paying Prime subscribers can buy solid mid-range handsets, unlocked, for a $30 to $50 discount. Amazon subsidizes this price by putting personalized ads on the lock screen. For some it’ll be worth it; for others, no way.

If you’re tempted, though, we’ve got some good news. Amazon is expanding its range of Prime Exclusive Phones, adding five new handsets from Nokia, Moto, and Alcatel. This brings the total number of phones available to 10, with a good range of options now up for grabs.
