Discovery of the first spiral galaxy in the early universe amazes scientists
Enables astronomers to monitor the first spiral galaxy known to date, which date back to before three billion years after the occurrence of what is known as the "Big Bang."
Says theories about how the formation of galaxies that the universe was still a place chaotic is so does not allow the formation of such spiral galaxies like this full, as it was known that it takes longer so you can gravity to put things like this flour and elegant.
But the scientific team behind the study, which was published magazine Nature, says that this galaxy that have been monitored and dubbed "BX 442" have got "down payment" of the force of gravity you need to be this shape spiral, through galaxy smaller revolve around dubbed the "dwarf galaxy".
The scientific team monitoring this galaxy as only in this format helical scan through space for about 300 galaxies carried out by the Hubble Space Telescope, and felt the team by surprise when spotted this spiral galaxy similar to the Milky Way.
Says principal investigator of the study David if Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Toronto told the BBC: "What we have learned when looking at galaxies in this period of time is that they are very active in the movement."
To take a closer look to the galaxy "BX 442", the team went to the use of monitoring devices with infrared technology in an astronomical observatory in Hawaii, and these devices can set aside the effect of water that lies between Earth and other galaxies.
The observations confirmed the findings of the study of the art by one of the signals shown in Hubble Space Telescope data that galaxy "BX 442" was surrounded when aspects Bmejrh smaller of them dubbed "dwarf galaxy".
David added though: "You can get more additional assistance if the galaxy was obtained spin in the neighborhood, it gives a driving force of gravity, and fit them into these examples the phenomenon of the eye, such as a spiral galaxy that we see all the pictures related to them."
Having established that such spiral galaxies were located in such a time of early age of the universe, says David if his team now wants to be seen surveying satellite larger and wider than that, especially surveys carried out by the Hubble Space Telescope now known as Candles surveys.
