Focus world attention on the role played by biodiversity and nutritional value of quinoa in providing food security and nutrition in the eradication of poverty, and in support of the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals agreed internationally, including the Millennium Development Goals
Increase the visibility of quinoa potential to contribute to global food security, particularly in countries that do not have the population where access to other sources of protein or limiting conditions of production.
Preparation of technical frameworks as well as in the area of policies for the maintenance of diversity and sustainable use of quinoa in parts of the world.
Recognize the value of the contribution made by indigenous peoples in the Andes guardians of quinoa through the maintenance of such material food for present and future generations.
Improving international cooperation and international partnerships between public sector organizations and private and non-governmental organizations related to the cultivation of quinoa.
Understand and appreciate the importance of the development of sustainable production systems for quinoa for consumption and food security.
